Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Announced by Ubisoft; More Info Coming at E3

Today Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment announced Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

According to Creative Director Julian Gerighty, the first The Division game was just the opening chapter of a much bigger saga, and the studio is currently hard at work on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

As usual for Ubisoft, Massive is working alongside a few other studios acting as support, namely Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest, and Ubisoft Shanghai. The game will use an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that made its debut with the first game of the franchise.

This isn’t to say that support for Tom Clancy’s The Division is going to end here, following the second-anniversary celebrations, there will be two more title updates, including two global events, an Xbox One X support patch supporting both 4K and 1080p resolutions, and more legendary missions.

Interestingly, as of June 2018 a new feature named “Crests” will be implemented in the first The Division game, allowing players to unlock rewards in the new one when it’ll release.

The announcement also teases that more info is coming at E3 2018 in June.
