God Eater 3 for PS4 and PC Gets First Gameplay Showing Explosive Battle, Engage and More

Today Bandai Namco hosted the God Eater 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving Day event at its Future Research Institute venue in Tokyo, and following the reveal of the platforms and a new trailer for God Eater 3, we also get to see the first gameplay.

We get to see a battle again an Aragami named Anubis, and the new weapons in action. The protagonist’s weapon can be transformed from twin swords to a two-bladed halberd, into a laser beam.

In particular, we learn that an unknown phenomenon called “Ash Area” is destroying all structures it comes into contact with, turning them into Ashes.

The story revolves around a new kind of God Eaters, named Adaptive God Eaters, or AGE for short. The new character accompanying us is Hugo Pennyworth, a young man who became an AGE at a young age alongside with the hero.

They grew up together, and a new battle mechanics named “engage” enables the two to fight together delivering devastating damage.
