Fortnite 7.10 Patch Arrives While Delaying Addition of Driftboard Vehicle

Although the 7.10 patch for Fortnite arrived on time, the Driftboard vehicle, which is said to have caused development problems, won’t arrive just yet.

Although Epic Games expected a delay for version 7.10 of Fortnite, the update has arrived just as originally scheduled. Not included in the update, however, is the Driftboard vehicle, something that Epic has teased for some time now. The Driftboard is said by developers as needing more polish and quality-of-life improvements.

Without the Driftboard, the main addition is the “14 Days of Fortnite” limited time mode—which is essentially a limited time mode of limited time modes. Starting December 19, large team modes will cycle every two days while small team modes will rotate every 24 hours. Epic encourages players to let them know their favorite modes through social media channels.

Otherwise, everything else included in the patch is pretty by-the-numbers. The Fortnite Creative mode will get a new Winter theme called “Winter Village,” and the Save the World mode has a new “experience” called “Frostnite.” Shortly after the update’s release, Epic Games tweeted that Frostnite was experiencing some technical difficulties.

There hasn’t been any word whether or not the Infinity Blade, which was removed from the game, will be “fixed” and added back in. Check out the full list of patch notes below.
